Canada Goose Facebook update

This is a great example of how you can communicate serious business in a nice, firm way and friendly way. I like!

(But perhaps this would only work for a friendly brand like Canada Goose.)

Olen nyt ihan stressissä. Facebookin uusi aikajana on oikein hieno (yllä screenshot omastani), mutta koko newsfeed on täynnä kavereiden surkeaa musiikkia (sori kaverit, en vaan tiennyt, että kuuntelette kotona iltaisin valaan ääniä!) ja joutavia kommentteja. Information overload.
Oh well.

Oh well.

This week has been crazy fun at my new job at Finnair. We flew this plane over to Singapore on the new Helsinki-Singapore route with 300 Angry Birds (all passengers got one) and 7 contestants competing in the Angry Birds Asian Challenge.
We’ve had so much fun working on this project, perhaps it shows on this video. :)

“Facebook is a platform for human storytelling” - Chris Cox

I’ve been following my Facebook subscriptions from Brian Solis and other cool dudes from f8 (Facebook developers’ conference in San Francisco, taking place right now).

(The whole experience of following people on Facebook is a bit like your Twitter feed mixing with your Facebook News feed - not sure if I like it yet, but I do like being able to follow people like Brian Solis or Mark Zuckerberg. Cool.)

Apparently Mark Z. just said that “the Facebook timeline is the story of your life. Your stories, your apps, express who you are”. (And this piece of information was shared by my friend Brian).

Apps?! WTF

What do the stupid apps tell about me?

But then I thought again, and he’s right. We’ll look back into throwing sheep (that’s nothing, we were also throwing toenails and blood on each other! That was SOOO 2007), and will remember the people and the times.

Not to mention status updates, photos, pokes, unintentional ‘Likes’ and all that. I think the reason why we love Facebook so much (and let’s face it, we do!) is because it is all about storytelling.

Facebook is like a never-ending story that you just have to go back to over and over again. There may be a dull batch but then you continue and in a while it’ll surprise you again and youre hooked.

Storytelling, yes. Because everyone loves a good story.
